From what some manufacturers have shared, wood plays a crucial role as a primary material in the construction industry. Due to the many types of wood available, and the varying properties of each, careful selection is necessary.
Commonly used types include cedar, pine, and elm. Taking cedar as an example, it is characterized by good quality, straight wood grain, uniform structure, light and tough texture, and moderate strength. Its inherent aroma provides insect and decay resistance. It's primarily used to make plywood, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), and particleboard. Pine furniture is also a prevalent type on the market, categorized into Masson pine and Siberian pine. Masson pine has straight or obliquely uneven grain, and a medium to coarse structure. However, it is prone to warping and cracking during drying, is not decay-resistant, and has poor paint and glue adhesion. Siberian pine, on the other hand, is stronger, with clearer grain and better wood quality. Therefore, its applications are far wider than Masson pine, and it has received consistent user recognition.
